Bf got a text from a tinder scammer randomlyj

a message popped up on my bf’s phone from a number out of state. it sounded like a scammer but i couldn’t read the whole text bc i just got a preview of it(i didn’t unlock his phone) we got back together end of august and when we broke up he downloaded tinder again but hasn’t used it. why now is he getting a text from someone from tinder? we’ve been having certain problems but i don’t think he’d download it again. i don’t want to tell him i saw it if it’s a random scammer from awhile ago but it’s bugging me. i don’t know what to think about it

    Even if it is a legit human and not some bot or a webpage whore, it is not like he is going to travel out of state to meet some random person who will likely not show up anyways.
