If the calls were cancelled, it means he's done with whatever the hell that was. Honestly, the relationship can be repaired. Unlike the typical form of cheating, there is no emotional attachment to an escort service(which, if canceled as you said it is, is already done and over with anyways). So if he can grow the fuck up, and if you can handle yourself well enough (i.e. not bring it up every time you have a fight/hold it against him for the rest of eternity), both of you can move on.
If you like him, you're going to have to get over it anyways, so you might as well. Although there needs to be some form of referendum as to what avenue you'll take to prevent future shit from happening, _without_ comprising either of your privacy too greatly.
