I had elbow surgery and went under anesthesia. I was concerned about it from the beginning but every said it would be fine. Well its not. I am experiencing some memory loss, some Anxiety, some problems sleeping, some vivid dreams at certain times..even thinking odd thoughts like my wife wants to commit me to a hospital..currently not living under the same roof due to a little rage...its been about 3 weeks. Does this end? Thanks anyone! Frank

    My dad has had lots of back problems, but he doesn't take prescription pain killers, because my mom doesn't like the way he acts when he takes those. It makes me sad sometimes.

    maybe marijuana might help you? i dont know im really just fishing in the dark lol

    thats weird ive went under it too before. but im fine. maybe you're just overreacting and thinking its the anesthesia when its just all in your mind?

      Yes Someone else mentioned that..pot would help. I am feeling like it's flushing out ..my memory short term as for date and time is bothersome..

        that doesnt sound good, you can also try fish oil, as its supposed to help your memory

        all this could just be in your mind though

        it could be the anesthesia but it could just be your worried thoughts playing tricks

        maybe you just think the worst happened to you during surgery?

        try telling your mind that everything is okay and see what happens

      They took me off everything....I'm only taking over the counter Advil. Feeling a little better. Time and date are still bothersome..
