  • Like I said, I don't necessarily agree with all his policies either...but right now we only have him or Hillary...thats it as far as the Dem ticket is concerned...she voted for the Iraq war...he didn't....she may have ignored a cry for help from our Libyan ambassador which resulted in 4 deaths....and although I respect her a lot I feel he is more sincere....I wish we had a few more choices like John Kerry or Joe Biden...we dont so I go with Bernie..

Bernie " gets it" ...its not ISIS or the illegal imigrant that is the average US workers greatest enemy..its the banks...he knows what its like being poor and disenfranchised

    • I am making an assumptions since you said we only have him or Hilary that you are a liberal which is fine I have no problems with that. Right but his ideas are only going to further damage the people and the average workers. You can't give 'free' away it has to be paid by someone at some point. It's people like me and others the average hard working american that is going to be taxed to death for all the 'free' things he wants to give out like it's candy. It sounds great in theory but in reality it just doesn't work.

People think they are in poverty now wait till Bernie gets into office. I consider myself poor but his ideas of this 'free' everything utopia will not work. It will only further the national debt and be a burden on hard working Americans. Do I think we need to do something about the cost of College and Healthcare absolutely. But giving it away for 'free' does not work and is not the best way to go about it. It has to be paid by someone somewhere. Trying to take a country that was built on capitalism and switch it to socialism is going to blow up in all our faces. Even in socialism people come out on top and will still hold the money. I also don't believe that we should take money away from hard working people that earned and fought for their wealth. That is theirs not mine. I want to take care of myself and I don't want to sit on my ass and be given hands outs from hardworking Americans. His ideas are going to destroy the American dream even more than Obama has already done.

      • If everyone is complacent there is no reason to strive to be anything other than mediocre.

      • The wealthy banks are able to basically not pay taxes....because of loopholes....off-shore tax havens....derugulations of certain stock and industries....manipulation of currencies...high priced lobbyists that influence legislation etc...these unpaid taxes amount to billions a year in tax revenue that the goverment could use to fund social programs and rebuild infrastructure and reduce the tax burden on the average tax payer...all of his programs...from universal health care to free college tuition are supported by other candiates and are in other countries

He also sees the inherent injustices of our legal system

        • The banks are not the enemy of America. Banks and capitalism go hand in hand because we live in a capitalistic society.

Did you know that? Yup, We are not socialist. We were founded and operated for years as a capitalist society. In a capitalist society the best person for the job gets it and anyone who is willing to work hard enough for it will be rewarded with lots of money. Money THEY earned, not other people who may "need it". You see giving it over to people who didn't earn it and just "need" it doesn't teach those same people to pick themselves and be responsible to provide for their own needs and their own life. It just teaches them that if they complain loud enough and cry hard enough some moron (like you) will come along and just give them what they need. Or more likely take up the mantle of complaining about how the rich have too much money because if it was YOUR own money I highly doubt you would be so enthusiastic to just give it away.

Why don't you give some of your hard earned money away? Why don't you downgrade from the home you live in to a one bedroom apartment to help out those that need it?

          Hmmmmm?

You formulate your comments as a younger millennial college age person who operates under idealistic thinking without a clue of how dangerous idealistic thinking really is. It is people like you who put America in this situation in 2008 electing a clearly anti-white President. I know, I know how could a black man be racist, but I can assure you, it is very possible.

If you really think banks are a greater threat to America than ISIS, an organization that would kidnap you as an American, videotape your beheading and upload it to the Internet, you are a complete idiot.

When was the last time you walked into a bank and saw the bank president torturing one of the depositors?

I hope next election day you somehow get lost on the way to the polls, we don't need people with their heads up their own asses casting votes.

          • How many Americans in the 50 states were tortured and killed by ISIS last year....NONE....Zero....the chance of an American who minds there own business being attacked by ISIS is so small that its up there with getting attacked by sharks....

But how many Americans lost their house , their job, cant pay their taxes, or buy food....millions...MILLIIONS....if its a capitalist society...why are businesses given incentives?

Then why did we bail the banks out, then why is their tax breaks for companies, .?

Thete is no such thing as a capitalist society....we have public education, public roads, police and fire protection, the military, various social and welfare programs, etc, etc....

There is no such thing as a socilist society either....

So the only question is to what degree are we gonna be socialist, what entities or programs and to what dehree will those entities be funded by the public, etc?
