I love to believe in people's better nature, but sometimes you just can't tell with people. Some are much better at hiding it than others. Had a friend, always knew he was a scumbag and a klepto even though everyone else refused to see it. Now he's in jail for molesting a 3 year old.
On the other hand my friend group just got tricked by one of the most two faced girls I've ever met. Her mask was pretty much perfect.... until she got drunk enough to drop it. Then the rumor mill got back around to us and dayum! XD Girl talks major shit on everyone.
But I'm kind of rambling. I do like to believe in the better nature of people, but you should only extend that trust so far. I don't let people see where I keep my money, I don't lend out large amounts to people. Sometimes even if someone does mean well, people just don't tend to be that good at paying each other back.
