I'm in my late 20's.
I am what you would call conventionally beautiful. I have many positive qualities.
I have been rejected many times.
I have also done a lot of rejecting myself. I have rejected gorgeous, smart, sexy men who would make great catches for other women.
I do not blame myself or any of the men in question for this.
As you grow and mature, you begin to realise that looking for a life partner goes beyond simple, superficial qualities. Maybe that person is gorgeous and smart and sexy, but they don't want children one day and you do. Maybe they share all the same hobbies as you but you find them uninteresting to converse with. Finding someone you click with on all levels is hard. A lot of people settle for shallow conventions and out of fear of loneliness.
I promise you won't understand this until you're much older though. I certainly didn't when I was in college and I'm guessing by your question, you're around that bracket, possibly younger.
