Beating my head relieves helps relieve stress and anxiety instantly

Sometimes, the anxiety just builds up in my head. It's almost like a pressure. When it gets to a certain level, I beat my head with a fist.

It's a dangerous form of self-indulgence, but it's more effective than trying to calm down by any other means.

Getting work done also helps me relax. Afterwards, I can feel useful and at peace.

    You might have autism or ADHD. It's very common.
    It's called stimming. But you should find another way to calm your nerves.
    Please get help if it bothers you a lot.

    • I doubt I have either of those. I've seen the symptoms of each, and I'm not a match. My behavior was normal as a child, too. I do however, have depression and anxiety.

    It's normal but it's still not good. It's a form of self-harm and needs to be replaced by a healthy coping mechanism.
