Be 20 and still live with your family?

Hi, so I'm 19 and tomorrow is my birthday. I'll be turning 20. I became a father at a young age and tried getting my life straight by joining the military and providing with my daughters mother but last minute before I swore in her mother and I broke up and I ended up not joining because if I got stationed somewhere I wouldn't be able to be with my daughter. I live in California currently and was living with her parents but since we aren't together anymore I moved in with my sister.. I feel stuck and like my life is going no where. I got a job at an icecream shop and I'm trying to get into collage.. so I'm 20 work at an icecream shop. Have a daughter I'm paying child support for and I can't leave the state because my daughter is here and I won't be able to see her. This place is expensive so I'm living with family and honestly I want to know if I'm a fuck up or if this is more common at my age then I think.
Thank you.

It’s def normal you’re still young most people don’t finish school till their late 20’s. It’s also normal here in California since the cost of living is so expensive. Keep your head up chase your goals and keep being their for your daughter. You’re doing good and have your head on your shoulders 🙏🏼

Nice name. A few years ago there was a big spider that lived in my parents back yard all summer. My little brother named it Asmodeus; Destroyer of worlds.

You're good. At least you care about your kid and want to be in her life. I had a baby at 20 and didn't/couldn't move out of my parents house until I was 25 and stable enough to do so. It happens.

Oh, you re fine, sweetie. Just as long as you have plans and a trajectory for your life, then it's perfectly normal. Sorry you're going through a rough time. You seem like you have good priorities & goals, so I'm sure things will work out.

Thank you very much, and I want to do something in software development. But at the end of the day my daughter is my number 1 priority

Personally, i believe you should pay rent after 18, and leave after 25, but you do you. Theres no point in shaming a system that works, but dont leach off of your parents.

You should rethink joining the military. It sounds like the person you dumped your cum into wants to be in control. Now you're an ice cream man.

Try to get along with your folks, and make the best of things as much as you can while you're going to college.

I never got why adults living with their parents dont treat them with the respect that they need to be treated with. Given that they can have you imprisoned for trespassing on their property.

Also why does life suck so much?

Because its life not heaven nor utopia.

Life fundamentally sucks. It makes death so appealing for some people.
