I'm from the Bay, but I don't like all that hyphy shit. I'm old school. I like that old 11-5/UDI/Cold World hustlas type shit. I just got put on to Messy Marv but I also just heard that he's not really from the city. I really like some of his songs because they have a real street/gritty feel to them, and I feel like I can just hop out the car and smack a hater if I have to when I bump his shit. Is this normal?

    I'm from the bay also and I haven't heard anyone talk like that since the early 90s. And hyphy is not around anymore unless you're living in some time warp zone.

    Messy Marv rap hella weird to me. He shouldnt even be in the same category as bay area rap. He remind me of J. Diggs and they really on there on movement not on the bay area movement
