Auto-immune and carnivore diet

Ive had autoimmune issues since I was 11 (26 now,) and I haven’t found a good solution yet.

However, stumbling online I found a girl named Mikhaila Peterson who claims she has cited her juvenile arthritis by switching to an all beef diet. Supposedly he autoimmune issues were caused by a reaction to her diet and food allergies.

Since I haven’t had any luck elsewhere I’m thinking of trying this diet myself, but I’m afraid of possible side effects.

Should I try this?

That is an awful idea. The all-beef diet most likely has only harmed her. Why don't you just isolate the things you're allergic to and remove them from your diet? It sounds safer.

I would recommend talking to your doctor before starting a diet like that. Eating only meat isn't really healthy as there are a lot of nutrients your body needs that isn't found in meats.

A carnivore diet will have side effects but if it helps you immune issues and the trade off is worth it, it may be an option. But you would probably need to take a few supplements to avoid nutrient deficiencies.

HOWEVER, DO NOT START A DIET BECAUSE IT WORKED FOR SOME GIRL OR BECAUSE PEOPLE ON HERE SAY ITS A GOOD IDEA!!!! Talk to a professional please.

People with arthritis are meant to cut back on red meat, amongst other things.

Ignore fad diet shit. They're only in it for money and attention.

You should have seen a dietician to deal with all of your auto immune dietary support.

Anythinng (almost) is worth trying if you havent found what works. If things get worse on the diet you can and should quit. Bad side effects from diet tend to come gradually and can be fixed by fixing your diet

Theres not any long term studies on the diet. You do it at your own risk.

I heard about this. Do you know she's Jordan Peterson's daughter? If you're interested in her diet then look at her podcast on Joe Rogan; she talks about it loads there.

    • Yes, I do know she’s Peterson’s daughter, and I got the idea from her podcast with him!

We have similar issues, except my juvenile arthritis is more upper body.

You're going to know more than most people here about how serious autoimmune disease is.

If it's something that you can dick around with a bit, then I say try it, and just be prepared to feel shit for a while, but if it's something where you could well die if you change your diet, or cause serious long-term damage, then I wouldn't risk it.

If you're planning on doing that, you should probably look into a raw meat diet (as raw meat has more nutrients). However, raw meat can be dangerous to eat if you get it from factory farms. There's a vid on YouTube about a guy who only eats raw meat and he buys a sheep from a local family farm once a month, butchers it, and eats all of the meat over the course of a month (he also raises his own chickens). He eats the bones/bone marrow too, which is kinda important. Idk if it really works, but he seemed to do really well with it.

I wouldn't ask health questions here, ask a doctor or nutritionist

Its yet another fad diet. Reduce stress in ur life, autoimmune issues get worse due to stress. I have a ton of autoimmune issues too.

  • The diet doesn’t sound safe to me, and just like medicine, everyone every responds to certain diets differently.

And that girl is crazy, she has her 4 year old on that diet.

Try vegetables only diet, with fish and no egg and no milk.
It won't harm you one bit and if it works, the effects will start to show as fast as 2 weeks after the beginning.
