I'd be worried. I don't want kids and neither does he. If he were to change his mind about it, it would cause some huge problems between us.

If I wanted to marry him and he had the ring it would be fine. However, for some guy that just randomly says that I would have resentment, take offense and turned off. Most likely I wouldn't appreciate it very much if we weren't married or engaged.
