Get a life and a bit of an education, maybe, and look at any psychology book. Forget about the whole, everyone knows about crap. Freud is just the only scientist that mainstream people know. Even without his, sometimes over the top theories, you would discover that it is completely and utterly normal as long as the mother does not encourage this type of behavior. The mother is the one that makes the whole difference here. Every mother needs to be very aware this probably is the case with her son, if they have had a good relationship the boys whole life. Mom needs to make sure to never encourage her son in any way to be with her. Meaning do not flirt with your son. Most importantly, make sure as a mom, praying you're happily married to the sons father, to really show your husband love and affection in front of your son. Make sure it's not overly sexy but very affectionate, loving, and talking to your husband in a way that shows your boy he isn't the Alfa male in the house. Soon these feelings towards mom will turn to girls his own age. Sure, the girls he picks will, more than likely, resemble mom. That's not an issue. But your dumb ass wants to spout off at the mouth to someone when you have no clue what you are talking about. Please, if you know something, share it.
