Being with a woman who's not very bright allows a man who's insecure about his intelligence to feel brilliant.
Guys who have a need to control a woman also like unintelligent women because they're easier to manipulate.
A tiny bit more positively, a guy might be attracted to women with low intelligence because looking after and educating them makes him feel big.
I don't get it either, a man purposely seeking dumb women (regardless of age) sounds suspiciously like him seeking young girls who lack the life experience and maturity to know any better. Of course there's nothing wrong with that unless he were to actually show pedophilic tendencies, but I think most people would question his intentions.
