Athiests, would you date someone strongly religious?

  • If they were interested in converting me, then we'd have a problem, but otherwise they can believe what they want.

    I was raised atheist, so was my father, and his father too. My husband is also atheist, so we have that in common.

    How religion affects us as a couple:
    Some of my in-laws are religious, but I've never had a problem with them believing in something that I do not. My mother-in-law still tries to push everyone into going to a Catholic mass in December, which I think is extremely rude, but whatever. She can ask all she wants, but if she were to insist, I'd tell her to back off. She won't be forcing that nonsense on my (future adopted) children either, or she'll get a talking-to.

    I don't go around telling religious people there is no god(s) and I appreciate it when they don't try to tell me that there is.
