I would not be doing it for myself, but instead for their own good. They would certainly not enjoy being in the company of someone as critical as I am of their religion.
Buddhism is not considered a theistic religion, as it focuses more on the path of enlightenment. Any religion can produce a better person, but Buddhism can do this without the need of a God. This is not to say that every Buddhist is an atheist, but it is not a requirement. Quite flexible.

yes yes, very good explanation. i myself Am a Buddhist, and do believe in a God but do not rely on one. :)
