So atheist should stfu because you don’t like what we say? Mabe atheists would be less vocal if the religious would stop trying to shove their religion down our throats. Just because you need a magical sky daddy to make you feel important in the universe. Doesn’t mean we can’t make fun of that silly belief. And just because we are a minority doesn’t mean we should stfu. We should speak louder because we are a minority
I would most likely go happily through my life never mentioning religion if it wasn't shoved down my throat at every turn. That's the point of atheism. We don't believe...we would have nothing to talk about if people weren't trying to push their make believe characters on us. We don't need to turn daily to imaginary friends to find our morality or our ethics, those are a part of us naturally. The theists keep the conversation going.
Give me a break, just cause someone is a minority, doesn't mean we should place them on a pedestal, cause they think they are sooo different...

Also respect people and don't mock their beliefs and views on life. Everyone has a right to believe in whatever they want to believe. My mother is a devoted Christian. I'm not. I believe there is some higher power out there, class 4 civilization, energy being, whatever... but it's definitely not an old guy in a bathrobe and all the other stuff the bible says, but I respect her beliefs and her devotion, just like I respect anyone who worships Buddha, or a magical hotdog, or whatever.
Religion does not define intelligence. It's how most people deal with stuff they can't explain and I'm ok with that.
If I saw anyone mocking my mom for being Christian, or any of my friends for their beliefs, they'd have to deal with me and a lot of anger.

We are still looked at as immoral by definition simply because we are atheist. We have kids that come out as atheist to their parents and become homeless as a result or worse. I can respect the person but I won’t respect the belief. Religion doesn’t define intelligence? Tell that to the studies that show that people who believe are less intelligent than those that don’t. People who have insanely stupid beliefs should be mocked you and your mom or friends are not above being mocked for stupid beliefs just like atheist shouldn’t be above that atheist aren’t asking for special treatment
