  • Every freaking "deity" an atheist is someone who doesnt believe in any deity.

    • But there is no such thing as a "deity", so an 'atheist' is someone who doesn't believe in something that doesn't exist.
      It simply makes no sense.

      • some people do believe in a deity. thats the whole fucking point of this. and yes thats exactly what u do when u dont believe in something. like if you dont believe in santa clause, your not believing in somethong that doesnt exist.

        • Some people assume or imagine a deity. That does not make it exist in reality.
In reality, there is a basis in fact for what some people assume or imagine to be a deity, but they're not.

"Santa Clause", in fact did exist. He is better known as Nikolaos of Myra, in Lycia. He died there on 6 December 346.

          • No, "chris cringle" existed. I'm talking about the santa that comes down your chimney obviously thats not real. its been proven, thats the different, because it hasn't been proven that there is no "deity" you can't just say it DOESN'T exist when billions of people believe in one? lol People don't "imagine" him. People actually believe that he is real. who are you to say he isn't real at all? Its not just like a made up figure that ppl were like "oh lets pretend there is something". I'm sorry but you have no idea what your talking about.

            • You're saying a deity doesn't exist as a fact. you do not know that as a fact so you can not make that an argument, sorry.

              • That's the problem, entirely. These stories sometimes do have a basis in fact (did you even bother to look up 'Santa Claus', 'Kris Kringle' or especially Nikolaos of Myra?), but these stories get passed around and sometimes persist for generations, with many people changing the story over time. Please do some research BEFORE you spew more filth around the world.
You (and many others) are believing lies and twisted tales because you imagine that things were always this way, in all places, and that every person down the line told the story correctly in many languages and different cultures.
Just because billions of people think that something is factually correct, doesn't necessarily make it so. I have already admitted that I was incorrect in many ways, why can't you?
