  • People have different definitions of addiction. It seems to me that any addiction is only a problem if you're incapable of coping with life without feeding it, and if the effects of the addiction start to have a negative impact on your health and your life in general.

You sound like a classic binge drinker and stoner - although three beers hardly counts as a binge.

I suggest you ask yourself if you could easily go without your beer and bong if you needed to. Imagine you were shipwrecked on desert island. Would that be what you missed most? Be aware that people who are truly addicted are often in denial, so it's possible you can't totally trust the answer you come up with. If you want to be more certain, try going without your weekly ritual for a month. If you find yourself counting down the days and itching to get back to your normal routine, then you might want to think about that.
