At what age should you know who you are and what you want in life?

  • So many of us grow up doing "the right thing"; going to school, getting a "good job", raising a family; all because it was expected of us.
    Sometimes this is all one needs to be satisfied in life; sometimes not.
    For those "nots" it may take many, many years for the realization to set in that there must be more to life, for them. Some are doctors, lawyers or other very successful people doing well, but they find themselves totally dissatisfied with their lives.
    For others, they just can't find their niche in life. A multitude of jobs, relationships and for many, a wanderlust. With less resources than the group above, they have fewer options, but the goal is still the same.
    So, to answer your question, I don't think there is any rule (age) on this one.
