I think I was 12 and in middle school. I have moved thousands of miles away, and we could go for months, hell, even up to a year without speaking to each other and when we see each other, aside from a few hours of catching up, it is as if no time has passed.
I am 20 now, not very much time indeed, but I remember the last time I went back to Florida which was a few months ago on a special trip I'd saved up for. We had shared books in which we wrote in and passed as notes between classes because we didn't all have the same classes. We had fights, "Picto-Chat" (we fucking invented SKYPE!), conversations, advice columns, pictures etc. in it and nicknames AND we wrote in cursive and shit so if a teacher found it and read all of the shit we talked in it she couldn't tell who said what.
My buddy brought all of them over and I realized at that point that even though our lives had changed, so much shit had changed, we were still basically the same people. Yes, I was quite shocked as whatever I wrote down in there was always in long paragraphs, with only a few spelling errors and pretty well articulated. How long it has been and I am still so long winded! And she is still goofy as hell and a laugh to be around.
Ahh... I hope that everyone has the privilege of having the experiences of friendship that I had :) If I didn't have that best friend, I doubt I'd know myself as well as I do. *warm fuzzy feeling*
When I was in highschool, it happened while I was on the bus. I actually don't know how we became friends. He lived in the house right next to me, though. I think we became more close due to doing more things around town that most people didn't do, like crime. He is my best and only friend, simply because he is quite like me, but in his own way (if that makes sense).
