  • Living “with” and living “off” are two different things.
Some ppl don’t understand the difference. If you are over 18 or finished with school you should be contributing to whatever household you live in.

True. I even know some people who live with their mom or dad or both because they need either financial help or they can't physically live without someone. Usually that costs too much money so the kids either move back home or just never leave.

And it's also a problem if you have your own place but you're expecting your parents to pay for it, and sometimes they are. You're being more responsible if you're living with them and contributing to the rent and bills.

I come from European families and All my cousins have stayed with their parents until their thirties. In fact I don't know anyone personally but a lot of people live with their parents siblings and grandparents all together
Honestly it's hard to get your own place sometimes and living with you family is not something to be ashamed of as long as you contribute to bills and stuff.

There was a piece in the news lately about parents who were suing their son who was in his 30's and had no interest in leaving home and didn't want to work. I could not figure this one out. It was the parents house. Legally it was theirs lock stock and barrel. I could not figure out why they could not have him removed without going to court. He had no rights to being in the house at all. He wasn't a part owner or a tenant. He was just an occupant. They could give him the boot anytime. At least that is the way it is in Canada.

i will live with who makes me happy if i can help it. if my parents decide that i need to move out i will. i live with my grandparents and i love them and they love me. i know i can be a handful, but i realize that it works better if we are together right now. i help them and you know that my grandparents help out me and all the family. their family. i will have to leave eventually, but i am 23 and now is not the time.

I could not vote for some reason but I think that by 21-25 a person should be out of their parents house by that time. I was out at 19. I joined the military then went back to civie street 10 years later.

i have never seen a millionaire live with their parents so in every case its the child monetary hardship causing children to live with parents , that goes for anyplace on the planet. is it wrong ? nope , thats just truth coming out.

I think it is extremely hard to be financially stable. I also think that maybe you can help more if you live with your parents even if they will not accept cash.
