I can never even drive down road for a mile anymore without someone cutting me off, pushing ahead of me when I have the right of way, riding my ass, etc. That normal when it's every fucking time I'm on the road? I feel like yelling out my window at each one of them "where's the fucking fire!!?" Also, does it seem that women are just as asshole drivers as guys?
I think men are the bigger asshole drivers. Some straight up cut you off, only because they can. Doesn't mean women are any better. They don't pay attention to the road, are oblivious to pretty much anything, other than their phone, or kid in the back seat. Bonus points for luxury car drivers. Audi and Mercedes drivers are bad in general, but BMW drivers take the cake. I drive a Mercedes myself, but whenever I overtake a BMW, the BMW guy inside, always has to floor it and "race" me, even when I'm clearly just driving slightly faster than him and have no intention of racing...
But the worst are teenage girls. Confused, arrogant, complete lack of understanding of how roads work, slow, often in the left lane and with the attention span of a gold fish! And no amount of me, honking my horn, flashing my lights, or praying to the mystical gods of Andromeda makes her go, or move to the right lane. My girlfriend included in that list. I could sign her on one of those worst driver shows. Maybe we can make a buck, selling the trophy she wins XD She destroyed two clutches in just 6 months and has had two minor accidents... Nuff said!
You start your post saying, 'men are the bigger asshole drivers'. Then you spend most of the rest of the post slagging off us women drivers. So what you have actually done is stereotyped all women as being terrible drivers, but made clear that men are even worse.
If you are being tailgated you should slow down. It's not about upsetting the tailgater but if you needed to stop suddenly they will be going slower so will cause less damage if they hit you. It will also increase the gap between you and the vehicle in front making it less likely you will have to stop quickly.
My experience is that the number of assholes on the road is directly proportional to how many people live in the area.
I live in the UK, and in big cities like London and Birmingham, it seems that 90% of drivers are total dickheads. On the other hand, where we live in rural Wales, the vast majority of drivers are considerate, although there are a lot of people who have no conception of stopping distance. I've learned to ignore tailgaters, since there's nothing you can do about such idiots.
All Prius drivers should be taken off the road and have their licenses permanently revoked.

What are you driving? If it’s a small car expect no respect at all. I drive an SUV and sometimes I think it must be invisible to other drivers.
