As a man would you be offenfed if you were asked to be maid of honnor?

I am getting married and my best friend is a guy. I really want him to be my maid of honnor but don't want to offend him by asking.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • Call him the "Bride's Best Man". Same thing, different package :)

  • Yeah just drop the 'maid' thing. Call him your Best Man.

  • Nope. I'd be... honorred. Surprised, though. But I'd definately do it for a friend.

  • Ya don't call him the maid of honor. Call him something more manly sounding.

Even if you did though I don't think he would get offended, I think most people would just laugh about you calling it maid of honor and say yes :)

    Congratulations on your marriage :D

  • He could be the man of honour, if your best friends and you want him to be a part of it fuck everyone else and just ask him.

  • Learn how to spell "honor".

  • If I were your husband it would make me uncomfortable.

  • my Cousin had her three brothers as her "Bridesmen". They walked up the aisle alone but the walk back, they made the guests crack up as they linked arms with the Groomsmen merrily. It was fun.

  • No way. It would be way cool. It will make people laugh and smile, and that's the point of weddings; to be happy. Your man of honour would be one of the highlights of the wedding (other than you).
