I know what you mean. I studied graphic design and it was the biggest waste of time. It has gotten me absolutely nowhere and I have never regretted something so much in my life either. My problem though was that the place I went to was shit. Very disorganized and very unhelpful when came to following through on all things they told me were great about the college.
I think the only thing you can do is work with what you've got. Try and make the most of this seemingly terrible situation. At least you have good professors, that's a positive! Try and not think about how much you regret the decisions you've made, it's just too depressing.
the same thing has happened/is happening to me. i chose a crap college over a possibly good one because of location and now i'm stuck here! are you still designing or what are you doing now? the reason i'm asking is that i'm kinda confused bout what to do next year since i have the option to stay on another year. i don't know if i want to continue in this field or try something else.
this is my last year so i'm just going to get it over with and get my bfa. i got to the school of the art insitute of chicago and it costs so much, enough to probably buy a house in st tropez. i think as much as it is great to be able to study something we think we are really passionate about, it would be more reasonable to spend $$ on something that will guarantee a nice rebate in the future considering the global economy right now. good luck in whatever you decide!
Art school is making me hate art
