You can NEVER be full vegan. No matter what you eat you are going to end up eating an animal. Insect parts cant be seperated from produce but they arent poisonous so it's not really worried about. Drink alcohol? How dare you eat the byproduct of yeast!
I get vegetarianism but full blown veganism doesnt solve anything. Why is not eating honey somehow better for you? Drinking milk from a cow isnt rape these animals were bred for thousands of years to where not getting milk is uncomfortable.
The anti-vegan circle jerk is so full of pure hatred, so much fucking hate for people who are just trying to do right by animals and make a positive change in the world.
Maybe a vegan burger at In N Out would cause a lot of people to try it. That would be a healthier choice and better for animals. But nope everyone has to shit on vegans instead. It's like if everyone smoked and then someone came along and said "hey maybe this isn't very good for you or the environment? then everyone screeches at him to shut up while hysterically clutching their cigarettes. So instead he just goes well maybe we can just have like, non-smoking areas so that you aren't blowing smoke in animals and childrens' faces then everyone collectively bullies him into silence.
This toxicity highlights the worst of the human race. Close minded hatred and bigotry for people who are making the world a better place, just because they remind you what you're supporting harms other lives. Guess it's too hard to think about for more than a minute.
Without specifying whether or not I eat animals and/or whether or not I feel others should, I'll say one thing with confidence: Among those who do, the ones who feel the need to rip on vegans and make jokes are surprisingly often the ones who feel the most guilty on some level, whereas those less concerned quietly enjoy their meat. It's a thinly veiled protection mechanism.
I agree you can never be full vegan. But comparing insects and yeast, with farm animals or fishes isn't right. We have more in common with a cow, than with yeast. You should at least do what you can. For the milk issue, I urge you to watch 'Dominion' documentary. It's available for free on YouTube. In the end, it's about your taste pleasure and the animal's suffering.
I dont care about animal suffering. They won the evolutionary lottery. They get to spread their genetics around and procreate at levels much higher than in the wild. By being domesticated for food by humans.
The reason I included insects because that vegans reject animal products like honey. Which is plain stupid.
There's only one evolutionary lottery winner and it's humans.
You seem like a guy who values freedom. You're a big gun rights guy. You frequently say you feel targeted by the left and wish you could just be left in peace and free to live your life how you want.
Would you trade it all to instead have virtually zero rights and freedom, be confined, tortured, and forced to breed with humans selected for you by some alien overlord and/or regularly have semen artificially extracted before ultimately being slaughtered and eaten by said alien overlord? If you were told you'll pass on your genes more often would this be a sweet deal? A lottery win?
If the animals were as conscious as humans they wouldn't even want to have offspring so that they didn't endure the same existence. It's similar to how most people wouldn't want to have children if a catastrophe was about to take place.
If sufficiently aware so as to think it all over and given a choice, the animals would 100% choose the wild.
If they had the same capacity as humans then yeah they should have the same human rights. They don't so I dont care. They arent our evolutionary equals so they dont get equal treatment. That being said I do think they should be killed in a humane way. They dont deserve to live in agony. Simply, happy livestock = better products.
What about insects? Those who do beekeeping provide them with enough honey to survive the winter. We are just eating the surplus. Same with eggs. Chickens were easily domesticated due to their ability to lay eggs quickly with an overabundance of food. Is there something inherently wrong with eating unfertilized eggs?
Are you vegan?

Yeast is a fungus. Fungus is not an animal.

Like a boss.
Closer to an animal than lettuce is.

I mean. Point clearly not taken, seeing as you couldn't just say you got it wrong. Instead, as per, you doubled down like a mong.
