It depends what she prepared, she probably needs less protein than you. Sometimes I eat vegan steaks, vegan nuggete, vegan bacon etc. and they have more protein than regular meat and taste almost the same. How your vegan/vegetarian diet looks like and if you're full or not doesn't depend on whether you eat meat, but whether you eat the right things and give your body enough macronutrients for your needs. It's about the composition - meat isn't a magical ingredient :) Besides that - I don't know if you're overweight or not, but maybe you're just really used to junk food and being uncomfortably full to the point you think it's normal? Burgers, beer etc. are addictive and from what I've seen American portions are really big (correct me if you aren't American ofc).
Are you vegan?

Lol you don't have to be hungry on a vegan diet. If you are, then you're doing it wrong.

Or the violent broccoli farts
I had the same issue, but at the same time felt I had too much food in my stomach
I love meat. I dont care if on average it would lower my life expectancy by 5 years. That's worth it.
