Are you the person you want to be right now?

Does the person you are now match with your ideal self? Why, why not?...Minus the delusions of grandeur -_-.

  • Yes. But we do 'evolve' into that person and it takes many many years.

  • There is no person I want to be. I accept what I am, and change things about myself as only I see fit. I have no regrets.

  • At this point I can truly say yes. Though I'm also looking forward to evolving further.

  • Not at all. The very fact it was delusions of grandeur even though at this moment it's reality for a happy few.

  • I agree with beastie. I am quite happy with myself now . It has taken a long time of living and experience for me to come to the inner peacefulness that I have now. and I think that is where everyone hopes to be in life.

  • I think it's a lifelong thing and we are always working on it.

  • No. I have a bad habit of always living in the past...

  • I don't know who I want to be or who I should be. half of me wants to give in to the homicidal thoughts, a quarter wants me to be as happy as I see others being, how they are able to obtain what they want. The other quarter of me is just blank.

I'll probably never get to be who I want to be or who I should be.

    • From your personality you remind me of Dorian Grey.

      • Is that a film? Not sure exactly who the character is though.

        • Dorian Grey is the titular character in Oscar Wilde's novel "The picture of Dorian Grey." It's quite popular. I'm sure you must have heard the story about the man who remains forever young while his picture bears the sins of his acts and the decay of time.

          • Yeah, I heard of it, never paid much attention to it though. All I can remember is someone with the same name in "The league of extrodinary gentlemen".

  • I feel like i could be better. Theres some issues i need to work on. But according to a few people that i know, i already accomplished what i had set out for yet i still feel its not good enough. I think part of it is im not exaxtly where i want to be in life.

  • No. I regret many things I should have done in my life. I've missed out on opportunities and I 'am Not who or where I wanted to be by this age in life.
Experiences change people and I know I would be a different person today had I accomplish the things I have desired.
