I was the smartest in my class at school , had zero athletic ability, played the violin and piano, was very good in art class, had a weird accent and unfashionable clothes from another country, a tomboy, bad home haircut and had no friends. I was bullied quite badly. It made me fearfully shy and underconfident socially.
However, when I went to college, people appreciated all the things that the kids hated at school. I learned how to groom well, I had become tall and slim, I wore stylish clothes, gained confidence and found a person inside of me that I didn't know existed: funny, outgoing, popular, attractive to the opposite sex. I'm very confident and always end up being the leader when I work in teams.
That said, a part of that sad, lonely freak that I was a a girl still lurks inside somewhere. Every now and then it surfaces.
Are you shy or outgoing?
