I do, but mainly with my last car.
I had it since my junior year of high school (my first got hit on the street 3 months earlier.) I’m now two years out of college, and it’s time to get a new car...because I have money, yay!
But it holds so many good memories with people I truly liked, and for most, we’ve gone our separate ways. I feel like getting a new car is simply throwing away tangible memories.

Only two of the 7 or 8 I've owned: my first car and my 4WD Patrol, so old it was a Datsun. I still miss that truck
When I bought a car back in November, I traded in my 2004 Ford Taurus. I felt a little sad over it and cried a little. It was my first car and I had a lot of good memories with it. I would've kept it but it would've cost way more than the car was worth to fix(that's what I get for getting a car with the word "salvage" in the title). The Nissan Versa I'm driving now hasn't given me any problems and I can resume driving to far places without having to worry. This post actually reminded me that I need an oil change. Ima do that this week.
Getting a new car is throwing away money the minute you pull out of the dealership.
My folks had an orange VW beetle when we were kids, I have very fond memories of it.
I don't have fond memories of the black vinyl upholstery on the back seat/bench that used to burn the back of our legs on a hot summer's day.
Some, and some of my cars I couldn't care less about. It just depends, I get connections to some and not others and I don't mean what happens in/with the car, I mean more like some I feel more in tune with than others and some just give me a bad vibe.
