No, I love rainy days. I don't recall experiencing a change in myself when it's rainy or sunny. Now, when it get's stormy, I get so energised and excited. I love looking out through the windows to see lightening bolts. Lightening Storms are probably the only time that I get so energised.
I do not believe animals are affected.
I remember when I was overseeing the build of a mega yacht in Vancouver Washington, across the river from Portland, the continual rain and overcast skies really brought me down. I could see why the Pacific North West is the suicide capital of North America. Dreary and depressing, for sure.
I want SUNLIGHT. :-)
I'd like to wake up on a beach in Malaysia right now. Beautiful location. Of course, animals are affected by weather. We all are. The moon, tides, our circadian rhythms. Melatonin production is influenced by light exposure through your eye on the pineal gland. Humans in the modern world try to ignore that they're mammals. They leave lights on when they should dim them. They don't get enough sunlight for Vitamin D synthesis.
Mammals, the warm-bodied type, tend to chill out when weather gets 'gloomy'. However, dogs, I know that LOVE an Arctic blast, get lively when ice and snow are underfoot.
