I think we all display racist tendencies at time even if just for jest or seriously. I try not to, but sometimes I find myself saying unbelievably rude things to myself about a person's culture. I don't ever share these thoughts (in fact I actually internally scold myself) unless they are in good fun or humor and I am with people I can share these jokes with. If I am in the company of someone who is easily offended, I would not dare utter a racist remark. However, I have one black friend who thinks racist jokes are hilarious and we will banter back and forth with each other. It's all about a time and a place I suppose. I wouldn't stand in a boardroom full of black people and go, "FUCK ALL YOU N*GGERS!" but I might say it in good fun with people who can take a joke and dish it back.
are you racist?
