True, I don't like the trans bullshit being taught in schools. I also dont like when any minority or majority wants special treatment also. Like a brand new bathroom just for them. Or claiming transphobia because they got a ticket for speeding like everyone else does.
Trans people don't want new bathrooms they want to be allowed into bathrooms, and what do you mean "trans bullshit", also they don't want special treatment they want to be equal, I'm sure there are some trans people who see everything as an act of transphobia but there are some cis people who see everything as an act of cisphobia. They arent mutually exclusive.
By trans bs I ment things like telling children in school that its brave and heroic to transition and patting children on the back for it.
The reason I dont like this is this could cause kids with low self esteem who have a lack of sense of belonging to want to turn trans for the recognition and be complimented by people and be told they're brave. In my school growing up there were 0 trans kids and in that same middle school today there is more than 10. It makes you wonder if these kids in my time were suppressimg feelings or the new kids were in a way coached to do this.
I think if they are trans they should reach that decision on their own with no coaching and propaganda. Transgender stuff should not be taught in school and only at home.
Again, this is just my opinion im sure you disagree.
I agree to an extent, I agree that kids shouldn't be coached or told that they are transgender, but I also believe that kids shouldn't be coached or told that they are straight. I think that kids should be told in schools what being trans is and that it's okay, but that if they aren't it doesn't mean that they are any less special.
So yes they should reach the decision on their own but that doesn't mean that they cant be educated about it before hand.
I agree with everything you said except I dont like the teachers teaching what trans is. The parents can do that. "Teaching" them goes hand in hand with coaching. You'll get some teachers that will push the propaganda on them and then say they were just "teaching" them
Do you agree with sex ed in schools then or do you beilive its the parents job as well? Just curious i neber got either or figured out everything on my own but given your comment towards this on trans im curious as towards your thoughts on sex ed
No, I dont really get the sex ed in school either to be honest. Especially now in 2021 because they will teach them about transgender stuff. Just because I believe this opens the doorway to propaganda. But personally im sure my kids will know about sex before sex ed class from the internet.
I think after like 8th grade ot should be mentioned or whenever sex ed takes place. Not saying its brave or whatever just saying the science like it should be so people know. Knowing is half the battle. Brainwashing is stepping backwards.
Well that's a shame for them. Just because "they want" doesn't mean "they get".
The bathroom conversation isn't about what makes "Trans" people comfortable, it's what makes men and women comfortable in general. If women generally don't want a "chick with a dick" in their bathroom because it makes them uncomfortable in general then that's what should be considered first, not the feelings of a small set of individuals.
I would like to jump in on this. As a person who secretly has severe gender and identity issues no one knows about I seen both sides of this. Now being the pragmatic person I am do not identify as anything other than my birth sex. Since I choose to live with whatever fate has miserably gifted me. Now I have known openly trans people that are the biggest snowflakes on the planet. Who have in the past nearly got me fired since they had a victim mentality. These people hurt the perception of trans people. Now a lot of trans people prefer to indentify as a certain gender. I generally try to respect that. I don't understand why this request seems to sometimes highly offend so many people. As far as the bathroom/changing room goes is another story. Since this often creates an akward situation for both the trans and the cispeople. For example trans even if permitted to use a school locker room of thier choice often do not feel comfortable changing with other cisgender people. As well as that if say they still a girl doesn't want to be seeing a transgirls junk. Type of situation. It often also opens up a lot of sexual harassment on both ends. I in fact been in places where they tried this and this is kind of how it turned out. Which is why some suggest having separate changing rooms.
Yea frankly its just dangerous. My boss is a fucking that with half a brain cell but thank God the fact im trans us under a dont ask dont tell policy (not official) irs fucking wonderful. We don't talk about it it doesn't get brought up. Im terrified ill get a new job and next thing I know we're sitting in a trans awareness meeting signaling me out.
But point being yea even back in the male rooms I changed in the bathroom stalls. I do the same in the female ones. Its just better that way and for me personally more comfortable.
As towards a separate one if a place does that I think they should have gender free ones meaning men women or trans can use it. Obviously keep the male/female ones but if a third option why signsl the trans out let anybody use it. Idk feels safer in my thoughts.
are you pro trans or anti trans?
