A Roman would have said: "that could never happen here, our empire is far too powerful and sophisticated". Then the Visigoths, a bunch of barbarians, strolled right in like they owned the fucking place.
The U.S. Is very vulnerable right now because it's economy is basically pulling a "Wile Coyote". You remember him from loony tunes? You remember how he would walk off of a cliff, but not fall until he realized his predicament? That's the U.S. right now. It's already screwed up; the repercussions are coming no matter what the next president does, and they will be serious ones.
Also, most people here have no clue of the geography of the US. They have no clue how to navigate, or know anything about weather. They don't know where the different states are or the geographical features that would be vital to know. Yes, people here are THAT dumb and have NO resources.
Not so. People here are so ignorant of how to survive without society. If it were gone all of a sudden, people would NOT know what to do. You'd have idiots going wild for a while thinking things would come back to normal, wasting precious time and resources. You'd literally have people stealing (looting) things like TV's as readily and as often as food. People would kill valuable people (people who know how to survive and have resources) to survive for an instant rather than thinking ahead for long term and using their skills.
It's happened in this country several times already, but only on local levels in response to disasters and civil unrest. People who think it can't happen are dead wrong, and will soon be dead fools.
Are you prepared for the apocolypse?

Out of all the places that could experience "turmoil", the US would be at the bottom of my list.

Official Vote: Ideological people die first. Sorry.

Official Vote: Realistic points of view - you'd last awhile.
