I was a joke. I know how to survive and I have the means. I have a large knowledge base, and references, on anyhthing survival, I live in a VERY hostile (geographically and weather) rural area. Anyone who COULD get here, likely wouldn't HAVE to. I mean, yes, some people would trickle in of course, but they'd easily be disposed of. Many of my neighbors are the same way, they can take care of themselves and would also be on guard for intruders looking to steal or harm locals. If my neighbors who had firepower were in need, I'm sure most if not all would be smart enough to trade or otherwise amicably benefit rather than just come in and kill everyone and steal a temporary supply. There'd be enough people to kill for sport, they wouldn't be looking to do that to a valuable neighbor. Many of our locals have already thought about this, and are prepared, and already are trading with other locals. It would be a great shock, yes, but people here are prepared better than most others. It wouldn't be like being in a city, or even a town for that matter, where no one has any long-term or even immediate resources (water, heat, etc).
Are you prepared for the apocolypse?

Official vote: Sounds good, but you'd die. That ark won't be built in time.
