  • Would someone care to explain, how the female period thing works? I think it's useful information and I'd like to know more about it.

    • Furthermore, it is not uncommon in women who spend a lot of time around each other for their cycles to automatically adjust to one another, a process known as "syncing up", hence my reason for creating this poll. It turns out the majority of us are synced up (Do you think we're spending too much time together?) I don't know if the moon cycles are common in different time zones, but here the full moon just began to wane and I am now off of my period. Perhaps the other 10 women who are menstruating are also being controlled by the moon.

Also, many women PMS the week before their period. This usually causes mood swings, so be careful during this week if you have a girlfriend.
      .
Another interesting fact is that some women experience increased arousal during mensuration. This is a great time to ask for oral favors.

    • I would like to add to sparrow's answer: If you are on birth control, there is no ovulation that goes on (the egg is not released) so on the final week of a woman's cycle, the lining of the uterus is shed and that is it.

    • Well... Most women operate on a 30 day schedule, but this can deviate a lot. There's basically only two remarkable bits. There's the second week, which is half way through the cycle. During this time, the woman is most fertile for baby making magic. The egg is released and I guess it just hangs around... Waiting for a sperm or something. Then the final week is the period. Satan incarnate. Basically your uterus sheds all its baby making tissue (it's not blood coming out. it's human tissue. thats worse I think) and rips you apart as punishment for not being knocked up.
It's all controlled by hormonal changes over the course. Woo.
