      There was an apple between two d's
      Not those silly!
      Quite simply
      Two lowercase d's

      Try as the apple might
      He could never win the fight
      Stuck between double d's
      apple begged them, "Please!"

      Yet stayed the d and the d
      one day
      while lying in bed
      he glanced down

      and he realized
      Those d's were upside down p's
      and his p's were upside down d's
      "Four d's and four p's!"

      "I'm quite special indeed."
      and n'vr did apple
      grapple
      with being a d-apple-d

        If my dees are my pees
        And my pees are my dees
        What, then, is my username, please?

        My pees are embattled
        My dees beyond addled
        So, then, am I now known as "paddled"?

        From here until eternity hence
        I vow to maintain this pretence
        And this, despite "paddled" having a sexual sense.

        Yes, I shall let this pass
        Even if you terrorise my ass
        But only because you were the sassafrass-

        P.S. Something's gone wrong with this poem. I have a spare eye. It's like a jigsaw with one piece too many. Like that time I mistakenly squeezed a Darth Vader piece into Van Gogh's Sunflowers.

          Though "paddled" suits you well
          Methinks a lady you should quell

          Before you snort at this affair
          I remind you she'll be wearing underwear

          Pink and red and green and purple
          But wait, perchance it will be ddurpple?

          Satin, silk and cotton
          But it's the color, oh how I've forgotten

          Yellow, blue, it may be true
          But I think it's time for my adieu
