No, I never have been, but I've wondered if I should be. A few times a year, I get really horrible anxiety and panic attacks, but I never saw a doctor for it because it's so infrequent. Also, tbh, I'm really scared of the idea of taking a long term med that alters my brain chemistry, like an SSRI.
What do you take them for, if it's not too personal a question?
The idea of altering my brain chemistry has always freaked me out, not to mention the fact that doctors prescribe them like candy without taking a proper medical history. I'm fairly certain that it would be dangerous for me, since I have some bipolars in the family lineage, and I know they can trigger mania.
I actually have no idea if SSRIs are even a treatment for anxiety attacks...like I said, I never saw a doctor about it.
Are you on any psychiatric drugs?
