  • better to be a pessemist and not be surprised than to be an optimist and watch your dreams come crashing down before your eyes screwing your emotions and etc. up.

  • I used to be a pessimist, then I had my girlfriend, became very optimistic. Now alone, back to pessimist. Life is so fun. Note the sarcasm.

  • A realist.

If the answer isn't how I'd want it to be then it's shit. But still there, so accepted.

    Otherwise, life's not so bad.

  • I can be a bit of both, the things I find associated with the majority of the internet and the western society I can be pretty pessimistic and cynical at times. But other times outside from it, I can be very optimistic and positive

  • I'm a hopeful realist.
I would love to see the good in everyone and not doubt for a single second that things are all peachy and dandy but at the end of the day life sucks sometimes and it doesn't exactly make you a pessimist if you realize that sometimes the situation ain't all sunny fields of roses.
The trick is to never give up hope that things can get better. Otherwise, life won't seem worth living; but it always is.

  • I'm a pessimist. That way, if something bad happens, I expect it, and it doesn't affect me emotionally. But if something good happens, it's never disappointing.

  • I always see both sides of a situation. I mostly go one direction per situation, but overall I'm both.

  • Pessimistic realist with hugely optimistic tendencies. I always hope things will turn out well. When they don't, I narrow my viewpoint and look for the silver lining.
