    Maybe you surround yourself with the wrong people in life.

    I actually feel awkward if someone does something for me. I'm terrible at feeling good about accepting something from someone. Even compliments and appreciation make me uncomfortable in many situations. If someone praises me I'll try my best to shrug it off. However, I love to give. I love how happy I am able to make people.

    My birthday makes me uncomfortable and I only enjoy Christmas if I have gifts to give. Otherwise I feel like a piece of stale "doggy-no-noes"(as my sister used to say)

    So I guess I selfishly want to see people around me happy... But I think that is an oxymoron.

      I don't surround myself with anyone :-P Only strangers that I'm forced to come in contact with in the outside world.
