Well, it's the truth. Nice people are selfish assholes who commit acts of kindness for their own self-gratification. I hate when people are nice to me, because I know they don't mean it. And that's why I'm not nice to anybody else, because I'm not two-faced, like people who pretend to be kind and nice.
You're really brainfucking you're self on this. Good luck getting a friend in life or even having a decent life. I guess I'm just normal by generally wanting to be nice and not treat others like crap. Personally, I think treating others like crap is more selfish than being nice because you're only acting for yourself and not to help in anyway those other people. Maybe tomorrow I'll try this out, when my son asks me for something to eat I'll tell him to make it himself because I'm not selfish. LOL What bullshit!
"Good luck getting a friend in life". I counteract that statement by informing you that I don't want or need friends. I have a decent life without having any relationship with anyone.
"When my son asks me for something to eat, I'll tell him to make it himself." You SHOULD tell him to make it himself. How else is he going to learn to be self-sufficient, unless you're one of those coddling breeders who can't find a reason for existence other than being a parent.
It's still fake. Think about it. Even if you love someone and want to be nice to them, you STILL expect something back. You want them to like you, or think fondly of you, or you want them to thank you. No matter how small the reason, being nice to anyone, even if you love them, it's always selfish. People are selfish and fake. That's just how it is.
Once you reach a certain age and maturity you begin to realize being nice is less about individual satisfaction and more about community. Do you want, you and your children to live a decent life with others or not? Also, I didn't know it was selfish to help someone or to be nice to them. Isn't that the exact opposite definition of selfish? I think you're way out of context on this. I could take it even further and say, well isn't it selfish to start my own business and try to get money from people? Or isn't it selfish that my nurse had to bring me my cancer medication because I bet she is expecting something from me in return.
Actions are 100% selfish, very true. Still don't get how it is fake though. People have done things for me without expecting anything back and vice versa.
I guess it's mainly because everyone who has EVER done anything nice for me has always had an ulterior motive. So I've never experienced someone not being fake. And I admit, I've done nice things for people, but I feel really horrible about it because in the back of my mind, I want them to appreciate me and think fondly of me. I feel very fake when I do something nice, for that very reason. So I just don't do nice things for people anymore. Guess it's just how my life's been, and that's the reason of how I see it.
Maybe you surround yourself with the wrong people in life.
I actually feel awkward if someone does something for me. I'm terrible at feeling good about accepting something from someone. Even compliments and appreciation make me uncomfortable in many situations. If someone praises me I'll try my best to shrug it off. However, I love to give. I love how happy I am able to make people.
My birthday makes me uncomfortable and I only enjoy Christmas if I have gifts to give. Otherwise I feel like a piece of stale "doggy-no-noes"(as my sister used to say)
So I guess I selfishly want to see people around me happy... But I think that is an oxymoron.
Are you a Nice Person?

No. Nobody is innately nice.
They might have compassion which they may or may not act on, but no human being is born "nice".
As far as I'm concerned, nice just means fake.

They didn't ask if you were born nice.

No, but I said I'm not nice either (My first word was 'No.'
I didn't think I'd need to say "No, I don't think I'm a nice person",but maybe I should have done.
I'm sorry you feel this way. :(
(I'm referring to the final sentence.)

You can be nice to people because you love them. How is that fake?

I don't surround myself with anyone :-P Only strangers that I'm forced to come in contact with in the outside world.
Wait...are you my twin? I feel the same way :-O
