NASCAR is like watching a dog chase his own tail.

Actually I'd rather watch the dog to tell you the truth.

I like nascar cars and their technology... But nascar itself is kinda boring. Even with the crashes... Surely you could make a more exciting track for those cars.

Hell, even F1 is boring with all it's rules. I want the 80s and 90s magic back... Group B and 1000hp Formula 1 cars with bad handling. Now that's a sport!

I live very close to P.I.R(phx international raceway)... And I can hear the cars going around the track for hours and hours....and hours.

Yes to the cool specials and free little things my kids get at the grocery store.

That's what I always tell my friends and family who watch it. I don't bash on it too much, but do poke fun of it. Not my cup of tea, but get others like it and that's ok with me of course.
Go left, then left and another left!

I once told someone that NASCAR is boring, and then he said the crashes were exciting. I don't really think any of it is exciting.

Crashes always seem to be the exciting part the fans talk about. Then when someone is seriously hurt or killed I feel like asking them if that was exciting enough for them?

Should just bring back figure 8 racing. Or watch a demolition derby instead of that sorry excuse for a "race." They bunch them up and restart so often under caution flags there's no way to generate a real lead. It's slightly more competitive than professional wrestling, and unsurprisingly has a lot of the same fan base.

As a kid I remember going to figure 8 races! VERY exciting and just as dangerous! Those people know what they are getting into. When it comes to strict racing (left and left) there's a much less chance of crashing. Totally forgot about that sport! lol Thanks for bringing back that memory!

          • In the 50’s figure eight racing was on early TV in Detroit lost of crash and burns. They used to old bootleg cars too.

That's my problem with NASCAR. People like it because of the crashes. They want to see people die. What the hell.

Driving on the freeway looks more fun.

NASCAR is just the WWF on wheels. They are not really drivers. If they can't beat you, they just crash you into the wall. Not one of them would be able to make it into any F1 race. Open wheel racing takes some talent. Especially knowing how to turn the wheel left and right.
