Are you a light or heavy sleeper?

  • I used to be a much lighter sleeper than I am now. I used to struggle to sleep and I'd wake up with a fright at the slightest disturbance (like my backpack tipping over or something or the rain coming on). I seem to retain consciousness for quite a long time, sometimes when I'm actually asleep I'm still aware of what's going on in my room. Since I became a slightly heavier sleeper I don't stir unless I don't know what the disturbance is. So if I know it's a relative moving around in another room I won't bother waking up. But if it's a sudden bang that I don't recognise I'll practically jump out of bed.
