For some reason, I'd never even heard of the term Furry until I started using this site. I'm not one and I've never heard of anyone in real life being one. So I'm not even sure if there are conventions here. I don't really understand what it is or why people frown upon it. I thought it was just people dressing up as animals.
Most people who are Furries and/or Bronies wont say anything about it in public, seeing that there are a lot of people that look down on others for liking this sort of thing. Its like being a Trekkie or a lord of the rings fan in the 1980's. honestly, You wont hear me talking about(much less admitting to) either in real life.
and the media definitely DOES NOT help that image at all!
