True. The name sounds weird. They need to change it. I truly think both deserve equal rights. Women do need slightly more protection though because we tend to be physically weaker than men.

To be honest, I assumed worse in you, so I'm sorry for that, I didn't understand you before I assumed things.
I disagree on the idea that women need more protection. I believe that there should be protection from everybody in a way that man and woman can feel safe equally.
Pretty sure any and all physical safety issues such as violence is already illegal and thus already equal. Where I live anyway. I can only speak to cultures I have lived in.
