Your intelligence depends on the amount of knowledge you pursue, so only you can limit yourself.
The issue here is, with a few exceptions on both sides, men are physically bigger/stronger than women; thus concluding that bigger equals better. While science was and is still developing, they noticed a difference in the way men and women think; so if men are bigger/stronger, why not smarter? Of course that discovery doesn't necessarily mean one is smarter than the other, but of course male scientist will come to that conclusion, especially if raised in a standard household with gender roles or anything less, or harbor animosity toward women in general.
Right now, we're all trying to break old traditions that had captivated us for decades or more, and still plague us til this day. No; women aren't stupid, nor are we physically incapable of anything. Women are nolonger limited to child birth, and caretaking; we can do so much more.
