Are women better at opening things than men?

Any time I have a hard time opening something with a twist top, I hand it to someone of the female persuasion, and they have no trouble with it. They also seem to never have this trouble themselves. I don't think it's related to strength, since my mother isn't great at heavy lifting, but has no problems with twist tops. Maybe it's a different area of muscle?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

My husband is much stronger than me and I sometimes open jars for him. I hardly ever ask him to do it for me. Perhaps there is something in this.

Smaller hands = easier to apply force to a small surface area. Im a dude and have quite skinny forearms and small hands but have excellent grip strength when it comes to twisting or other complex movements. But if you have bigger hands you will probably have more crushing strength

I either, bang the lid on the counter OR flip it over and slap the bottom. Both work.
