Are this childish?

Ok here, I'm 18 right now and my parents always say that I'm childish just because I don't know or not understand the question their asked me. When I don't know the answer, I'm just say "I don't know" and my parents say "if you don't know why don't you do a research for that, you're so childish". Thats the common sentence my parent always said to me :'(. What do you guys thinnk?

If you don't know why your parents are doing that, try looking it up. Perhaps Google could offer some guidance.

I don't know if you're childish or not but a common thing parents do that's called projecting, might be it.

Psychological projection is a theory in psychology in which humans defend themselves against their own unconscious impulses or qualities (both positive and negative) by denying their existence in themselves while attributing them to others.[1] For example, a person who is habitually intolerant may constantly accuse other people of being intolerant. It incorporates blame shifting.
    (that's from wikipedia)

it's very common and most people do it sometimes. It's only a problem if it's about hurtful things.

Then again it might be something else. I don't know. Just gave you an idea.
