Are people really scared of guns?

If someone aims a gun at you would you be scared and do what the person tells you, or would you not take it seriously?

If someone points a gun at me, they better use it because I will fucking kill them the moment I have the chance.
    Merry Christmas.

Does that answer your question? Don't be an asshole & "play" with guns.

Being afraid of owning a gun is one thing.

Its complety different when a gun is pointed at you. It's an active threat.

        Exactly.
I'm a gun owner & would never point a gun at anyone unless I fully intended to use it.

The person who has a gun or gun like object pointed at them has the same assumption.

That's why I'm not too heartbroken when a cop has to shoot a kid for pointing a toy gun (that looks realistic) at a cop. Think the cop is going to wait to see if a bb comes out?

There are a lot of people who get shot by cops who were asking for it by resisting arrest. Additionally, many people who get shot by law enforcement are life long criminals. I don't have any problems with police officers, because they always treat me really well, and this was especially true in las Las Vegas, Nevada. I once had a cop who stopped, and changed my flat tire when I was in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Guy points a gun at me better be there to rob me. If they say "it's a prank bro" I'll kick their ass.

Dont point guns at people, even if it's a toy.

That's how a lot of kids get shot (justifiably) by the cops.

Be careful with that ass kicking part. If you do that in Kenosha Wisconsin, the guy who pointed the gun at you before you tried to kick his ass could shoot you and successfully claim self defense. He could even shoot anybody around you who tries to stop him from getting away or stop him from shooting other people and it’d all be self defense if he gets the right activist judge in his corner.

You never watched the trial I get it. Your ignorance of that trial is astounding.

If I hear a gun shot and see a dead body laying on the groubd through the window of a store and a man runs out of that store with a gun in his hand fleeing the scene. If I attack him and kill him, but it turns out he had actually just killed an armed robber in self defense I can not use the defense in court "i thought he was a robber and murdered ppl".

Ignorance isnt a defense for murder or assault. He would be allowed to kill me if I assaulted him. It doesnt matter if I thought he was a murderer or not. If you try to assault or kill a man you better be sure you know what happened. (Im not even gonna go into how its also illegal to kill someone whos running away)

Theyd really freak out if they knew just how many ppl are carrying concealed without them knowing it. And how many grandmas and moms have lil guns in their purses.

Those people need to realize that everything is practically a weapon. So what if a dude has his in a safely contained holster. Not like it was just on the table next to his fries. At least if some wackadootle comes in theres a guy who's confident enough to carry his peice in the open.

Ngl and try to act like a big man, I would shit my pants and do what they wanted. I'm all for the second amendement, but guns are serious, and there's a damn good reason to be scared if one is pointed at your head.

You’d be stupid not to be afraid. Do what you have to, to get out of the situation.

Exactly, OP is either full of shit or a total moron. A quote I heard once, “There’s nothing more dangerous than an angry man with a gun”.

Exactly. To quote Power Games: Not knowing what fear is isn't bravery; that's just being an idiot.

You Americans don't need guns anyway. It's fucking retarded when you pretend you do.

If you don't need one, don't buy one. It's that simple.

I'm not afraid of guns, I'm afraid of stupid people with guns. I would try to talk the person down. If I could disarm the person I would, and I would smash something over the person's head if I could sneak up on them. It also depends on what the person is trying to get me to do of course.

Do you mean again? The next time someone does it, they will get a big surprise that they were not expecting. By the way, I had the last guy stopped and arrested.

The short version was this guy cut me off I gave him the finger and he pulled a gun. He didn't have the balls to carry through. Then he got arrested.

Depends on the situation. I'd say I respect that gun but I'm not afraid until the person holding it intends to kill me with it.

Yes I would take that very seriously if someone put a gun to me. The first lesson you learn when you learn how to handle guns is to never allow your barrel to point at anyone even for a second and even if its not loaded. So if he is pointing it at me he either knows nothing about guns or hes crazy.

Depends what you mean by fear. Someone pointing a gun at any normal person would trigger a “fight or flight” adrenaline rush.

It all depends on their attitude and poise. I someone thinks that just waving a gun at me is going to scare me... unless they show the body language that they are going to use it... is likely in for a shock. There's a good chance I will just take the gun away from them (and I know how to do that).

Now if someone is showing clear intent to use the gun if I don't follow their direction... that's a time to be compliant.
