To an extent; people do tend to be meaner virtually because they're protected by a computer screen as well as distance in most cases. A lot of people who are mean on the internet are probably mean in person too. A friend of mine has a fatal heart condition and she got anonymous hate on Tumblr, which made me sick. I usually like Tumblr, the people there are accepting, but there are a few bullies.
