That was rude of your teacher to speak to you like that.
It must be tough being a teacher sometimes. They probably become worn out after having kids constantly taking advantage of their kindness year in and year out. I bet some of them even become desensitized to the kids, like you, who were actually going to tell the truth and have a legitimate excuse for being late. Is there any chance you could speak with them outside of class time and explain your situation? Remember though, no matter what your excuse was, it is always courteous to apologize for being late and interrupting a class.
